Questions & Answers (Q&A)display: none;
Why does it cost $300 to replace a Chromebook if it is an older device?
Repair and replace costs are based on the actual cost to repair or replace. We aren’t able to replace an old device with another old device – we would have to purchase a new one.
Do I have to pay for normal wear and tear?
No. Normal wear and tear can be addressed by the school’s technician.
I can't pay online or have other payment questions.
Payment can be made by check or money order, and should be written payable to Benicia Unified School District. Please include your student’s ID number on the memo line.
Please mail or deliver your payment to the BUSD Business Office:
Benicia Unified School District
Attn: Accounts Receivable
350 E K St
Benicia, CA 94510
Please do not send payment directly to your student’s school.
Can students use their own device?
No, a student needs to use a BUSD-issued Chromebook as it is required to do any type of school testing for NWEA, CAASPP or Google Classroom. Also, there are certain apps in Clever that require security certificates that are only on BUSD devices along with district security policies to prevent access to certain websites/apps.
