Dear colleagues,

As the summer comes to a close and we prepare together for the coming school year, I wish to take this opportunity to welcome you all back to Benicia USD.  I also would like to take a few minutes of your time to give you all a quick update and instruction on the new copiers/printers our technology department deployed during these weeks.

Our contract with the previous copier/printer service expired in May 2018.  The Technology and Business departments worked together to find an improved and cheaper solution for staff needs by deploying a new printer fleet district-wide.  The new copiers/printers are HP workhorses, designed and implemented for medium/large offices.

As everyone starts to come back from summer break, please be sure to stop by your school site’s front office and pick up an RFID sticker to place on your school ID badge. This sticker will allow you to log into any of the new printers throughout the district and print directly from your district computer, make copies, or scan to email.  When printing, use the printer on your computer named: “Secure Print on busd-print”.

The link below will take you to a training page we have set up to make the change as smooth as possible. While we all know change can be hard, all IT staff will be around to answer questions as we start the 2018-19 school year.
