Negotiations is not always a simple process, it requires patience, honesty and a commitment to collaboration. Following six months of negotiations between the Benicia Teacher’s Association (BTA) and the District, I am pleased to share the news that we have reached an agreement. The teachers will receive 3.5% increase on the salary schedule effective April 1, 2017. Throughout the negotiation process, both teams were respectful, honest, and they shared a commitment to reach an agreement that is in the best interest of the organization and the students we serve.
