The regular Governing School Board meeting of Thursday, February 2, 2023 will begin at 6:00pm in the BUSD Board Room at 350 East K Street. This is an in-person meeting, masks are recommended, but not required. Members of the public may address the Board at a regular meeting on any item within the Board’s jurisdiction. Speaker cards are available on the entrance table. Please note the item you wish to speak to and submit the card to the Board Secretary. The Board President will call all public comments not on the agenda (Gov. Code Section 54954.3) during the public comment item #10 and that item number should be noted on the speaker card. All other comments will be called during the specific items that align with your topic. Comments are limited to no more than three minutes per speaker or the board may limit the total time to 20 minutes per item with the timer displayed on the monitors. By law, no action may be taken on any item raised during the public comment periods and matters may be referred to staff for placement on a future agenda of the Governing Board.

The meeting will begin with a Highlight by Dr. Khushwinder Gill, Superintendent Human Resources of our yearly Employee Recognitions. The Consent Calendar items include: Overnight field trip approvals, a donation, and the Consideration and Approval of the School Accountability Report Card for each school site. We will have one presentation and informational item on Attendance Awareness and Updates and one Action Item which is for the Consideration and Approval of a job description for Paraprofessional 1.
