A Special Governing Board meeting will be taking place this Friday, July 28, 2023, beginning at 9:00am in the BUSD Board Room at 350 East K Street. This is an in-person Governance Workshop facilitated by Dr. Daryl F. Camp, California School Board Association Consultant. This workshop will cover the following: Discuss Unity of Purpose, Roles & Responsibilities of the Board & Superintendent, Review/Revise/Develop Norms for Sustaining a Positive Culture, and Review/Revise/Develop Protocols for Effective Governance. This meeting will not be live-streamed nor recorded.
Members of the public may address the Board at a special meeting only on items on the agenda. Speaker cards will be available on the entrance table and must be submitted to the Board Secretary. The Board President will call for comments prior to the Governance Workshop agenda item. Comments are limited to no more than three minutes per speaker with the timer displayed on the monitors. By law, no action may be taken on during the public comment periods and matters may be referred to staff for placement on a future agenda of the Governing Board.
