Amber Baker

Amber Baker is in her 2nd year at Robert Semple Elementary School, but her commitment to our team makes it feel like she’s been a part of our community for YEARS! Amber is positive, intelligent, and focuses on doing what’s best for students. She is a team player, always pitches in, and goes above and beyond to make others feel included. Amber’s students come in as 4-year-olds new to the school system and leave as little scholars ready to take on the challenge of kindergarten. Student growth is due to Amber’s commitment to fostering a learning community within her classroom walls. Her students are beyond lucky to have her! Amber Baker, you are a BUSD All-Star!

Kristie Trias

Kristie Trias has been part of the Robert Semple family as a parent and member of the PTG for several years. Ms. Trias returned to Semple as a Transitional Kindergarten Aide, supporting early learners with their first experiences with public school. She works seamlessly with the Semple TK teacher, Amber Baker, ensuring TK students have the most inclusive, loving, and rigorous learning environment. The TK class at Semple is an amazing place because of Kristie! Kristie Trias, thank you for being a BUSD All-Star!

Lisa Auther

Ms. Lisa Auther has been working for BUSD for over 12 years. She began working as a substitute custodian, and shortly thereafter, she applied for the BMS night custodian position and held this position for about five years. In 2017, Lisa brought her vast knowledge of the trades and became the first female Groundskeeper in BUSD history. She most notably helped beautify our campuses during her time as a groundskeeper, but again, her skill set elevated her to another position within our organization. Ms. Auther became the Maintenance and Operations Technician, again, the first female to hold this position in our organization.

Being a trailblazer is only part of her drive as she strives for excellence and professionalism. Lisa has brought dependability and craftsmanship to our district and is always smiling. She is and will always remain our All-Star!

Tammi Eigenhuis

Tammi Eigenhuis, the Senior Food Service Assistant at Matthew Turner Elementary, embodies exceptional integrity, hard work, and flexibility. Her unwavering commitment to outstanding service is evident through the delicious meals she consistently delivers to staff and students and the awesome way she treats everyone in our school community.

Tammi’s remarkable work ethic shines through, especially during unexpected challenges. In a recent power outage affecting the cafeteria, she showcased resourcefulness, agility, and patience, ensuring that operations continued seamlessly. Tammi’s poise, efficiency, and ability to handle pressure with skill highlight her dedication to maintaining a high standard of service, even in challenging circumstances. She is 100% a BUSD All-Star.

Marissa Larson

Marissa Larson, the Speech Therapist at Matthew Turner Elementary, is an all-star professional whose impeccable dedication to students, staff, and parents is truly commendable. Her commitment is evident in her exceptional skills at teaching speech and language and making a significant impact on the communication abilities and overall development of our students. Marissa’s warm demeanor and approachable personality stand out, particularly when teachers and parents have concerns about their students. Whether working with preschoolers or school-age students, she demonstrates an incredible ability to connect and engage with them, fostering a positive learning environment.

In addition to her outstanding professional qualities, Marissa excels in handling pressure gracefully and effectively sharing sensitive information with poise. Beyond her role as a Speech Therapist, Marissa contributes to the school’s social fabric by building staff camaraderie. Her passion and ability to foster a supportive and collaborative atmosphere among colleagues further enhance the overall educational experience at Matthew Turner Elementary.
