Amber Baker is in her 2nd year at Robert Semple Elementary School, but her commitment to our team makes it feel like she’s been a part of our community for YEARS! Amber is positive, intelligent, and focuses on doing what’s best for students. She is a team player, always pitches in, and goes above and beyond to make others feel included. Amber’s students come in as 4-year-olds new to the school system and leave as little scholars ready to take on the challenge of kindergarten. Student growth is due to Amber’s commitment to fostering a learning community within her classroom walls. Her students are beyond lucky to have her! Amber Baker, you are a BUSD All-Star!
Kristie Trias has been part of the Robert Semple family as a parent and member of the PTG for several years. She works seamlessly with the Semple TK teacher, Amber Baker, ensuring TK students have the most inclusive, loving, and rigorous learning environment. The TK class at Semple is an amazing place because of Kristie! Kristie Trias, thank you for being a BUSD All-Star!
Ms. Lisa Auther has been working for BUSD for over 12 years. She began working as a substitute custodian, and shortly thereafter, she applied for the BMS night custodian position and held this position for about five years. In 2017, Lisa brought her vast knowledge of the trades and became the first female Groundskeeper in BUSD history. She most notably helped beautify our campuses during her time as a groundskeeper, but again, her skill set elevated her to another position within our organization. Ms. Auther became the Maintenance and Operations Technician, again, the first female to hold this position in our organization.
Being a trailblazer is only part of her drive as she strives for excellence and professionalism. Lisa has brought dependability and craftsmanship to our district and is always smiling. She is and will always remain our All-Star!
