The Regular Governing School Board meeting of Thursday, June 13, 2024’s open session will begin at 6:00pm in the BUSD Board Room at 350 East K Street. Members of the public may address the Board at a regular meeting on any item within the Board’s jurisdiction. Speaker cards are available on the entrance table. Please note the item you wish to speak to and submit the card to the Board Secretary. The Board President will call all public comments not on the agenda (Gov. Code Section 54954.3) during the public comment item #10 and that item number should be noted on the speaker card. All other comments will be called during the specific items that align with your topic. Comments are limited to no more than three minutes per speaker or the board may limit the total time to 20 minutes per item with the timer displayed on the monitors. By law, no action may be taken on any item raised during the public comment periods and matters may be referred to staff for placement on a future agenda of the Governing Board.

The highlight for this last meeting of the 2023-24 school will be a BUSD Distinguished Service Recognition. The consent calendar includes: a field trip and several Declaration of Obsolete Item Resolutions as well as an updated District Authorized Signature Signing Authority document. Action items include: the Consideration and Adoption of both the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and the 2024-2025 Budget, a recommended 2024 Facility Use Fee Schedule, the Workplace Violence Prevention Plan, Upgraded and Revised Food Service Department Job Descriptions, a K-12 Informed Project Manager Temporary Position Job Description and Stipend, Tentative Agreements for the 2024-25 school year between Benicia Unified School District and both the California School Employees Association (CSEA) Chapter #1096 and Confidential /Management Classified/Certificated and lastly, the 2023-2024 End of Year Superintendent Evaluation.
