Odyssey of The Mind is an academic competition where intellectuals have to solve a problem or question. The students are given several weeks to several months to work on an assigned problem. The competitors then go to the Odyssey of the Mind competition to perform their problem or skit. After they perform, the students have to do a spontaneous task in front of their judges. The spontaneous task could be a number of things varying from a game, question, riddle, or an activity.

This year we had two teams participate in Odyssey of the Mind but the one team from BMS is off to World.

These amazing students won first place in their age division in the regional competition, and placed second in their division at the state championships this past weekend! At the state championships they performed a superhero skit required a superhero saving the day three times, a cliffhanger at the end, and had to be under 8 minutes in length.  The team has earned a spot to compete at the World Finals at Michigan State May 24-27.

The students have created a Go Fund Me page to help with the costs. https://www.gofundme.com/bmsootm
