Benicia Unified is excited to announce the new vice principal for Benicia Middle School, Constance Huntington. Constance began her career in education in Napa as a long term substitute, where she quickly learned that education was her passion. She began teaching science at the high school level in Fairfield-Suisun, moving into a department chair role and providing leadership within her department while also working on a district NGSS committee. Constance transitioned into administration at the middle school level in Fairfield-Suisun and fell in love with working with middle school-aged students. She believes that academic, social, and emotional learning are all key in growing successful students who will become well-rounded, life-long learners.

Constance is excited about coming to Benicia to serve the community in which she now lives. Growing up in Vallejo, she frequently visited Benicia to be with friends or for community events. When the opportunity arose to find a permanent home in Benicia, her husband and she took it so that they could become members of this great community. By living and working in Benicia, Constance hopes to make a great impact on the lives of young people and the community as a whole. We are excited to welcome her to the BUSD.
