Maria Silva
Ms. Maria Silva is an HR Technician within the Human Resources Department. Ms. Silva is an integral part of the HR Team as she supports classified staff with staffing and payroll needs and supports the HR Department in other areas as needed. Ms. Silva’s attention to detail and strong work ethic enabled her to spearhead the discussion, transforming the BUSD interview process from an antiquated paper process to a digital one. Ms. Silva, you are a BUSD All-Star.
Siobhan Mara
We are thrilled to recognize Ms. Siobhan Mara as a BUSD All-Star. Ms. Mara has worked for the District since 2011 in multiple capacities, including as a Student Supervision Aide, Registrar, and Office Manager at Benicia Middle School. Ms. Mara currently works as the Payroll/Benefits Coordinator in the Business Office and works diligently on payroll and benefits to help ensure BUSD employees are paid on time every month. Bonnie Ramirez
Ms. Bonnie Ramirez’s love for students and her leadership commitment foster positive outcomes in the BMS school community. Ms. Ramirez has also done a fantastic job supporting teachers and administrators with the leadership transition at BMS. Ms. Ramirez continues to go the extra mile, and BMS is lucky to have her! Terri Marron
Ms. Terri Marron works as an Office Technician at Benicia Middle School. Her experience working within the District enables her to ensure the new administration team acclimates to the Benicia Middle School culture. Ms. Marron is kind to students and staff alike, has a positive attitude, and has helped in everything school-related, including NWEA testing, attendance, and campus supervision. Van Ferreira
Ms. Van Ferreira currently teaches the preschool and after-school program at Robert Semple Elementary School. Ms. Ferreira is creative and passionate about science and social-emotional learning and leads weekly cooking and art lessons with her students. Ms. Van Ferreira serves on the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support Team at Semple and has successfully implemented PBIS in the CDU/ELOP program.
