Lori Harry

Lori Harry is a remarkable Special Education Assistant who provides individualized student support. She empowers our students to overcome their doubts, nurturing their confidence and helping them to achieve what they once thought was impossible. Ms. Harry has a knack for challenging students and providing just enough support to push our students to do what they can independently. She also finds so much joy in welcoming all of our students on campus every single day with a beautiful smile on her face. Thank you, Lori, for your commitment to making a difference in the lives of our students.  You are a BUSD All-Star!

Jackie Lewin

Henderson’s second all-star shout-out this month goes to another devoted staff member who is also a dedicated Benicia parent! Jackie Lewin joined the Henderson Staff in the fall of 2022 as a Student Supervision Aide and quickly became a source not only of safety and supervision for Henderson students but also a communicator and leader among the team of Student Supervision Aides! Ms. Lewin eagerly jumps in when there are extra opportunities to serve and brings to her work a kind but discerning eagle eye toward ensuring that all spaces are supervised, and all students are safe. Ms. Lewin’s attention to detail, safety, and consistency are of benefit to the Hounds of Henderson daily, and the work of Ms. Lewin and the whole Student Supervision Aide team supports the safe, respectful, responsible student behaviors outside of the classroom that are so critical to JHE’s successful PBIS program. Thank you to Ms. Lewin and all our JHE SSAs! You are a BUSD All-Star!

Tiffany Anderson

Mrs. Anderson came to Benicia Unified in 2016 and quickly became a dedicated member of both the Joe Henderson community and the broader Benicia community!  As a teacher, Mrs. Anderson brings a unique combination of strong content knowledge, high standards, and a calm, caring, compassionate environment to her Henderson 5th-grade learners.  She supports her students, her grade level team, and colleagues as a strong supporter and ever-positive proponent of the 5th-grade outdoor education program, as a BTSA support provider, and in several other staff “cheerleader” roles!  And she also supports the cheerleaders themselves! – as the Coach of the BHS Cheer Team.  As a mom to a BHS 10th grader and a BMS 8th grader, BHS and BMS enjoy Mrs. Anderson’s collaboration as an involved parent.  Bravo to Mrs. Anderson, an all-star Hound, and Benician!
