A Governing Board Special Meeting and Study Session will be taking place on Monday, April 8, 2024 beginning at 4:00pm in the Benicia Unified School District (BUSD) Board Room at 350 East K Street. This meeting is being held to conduct a board study session pursuant to Government Code 54954(c)(2). Prior to the Board Study Session a brief closed session will take place to discuss a Public employment item as listed on the agenda with action taken on it during the open session consent calendar item.
Members of the public may address the Board in regards to the matters only on the special meeting agenda prior to the start of the closed and board study sessions. Speaker cards will be available on the entrance table and must be submitted to the Board Secretary prior to the start of the board study session. As always, comments are limited to no more than three minutes per speaker or the board may limit the total time to 20 minutes. By law, no action may be taken on any item raised during the public comment periods and matters may be referred to staff for placement on a future agenda of the Governing Board. This meeting will not be recorded or live streamed.
The BUSD Governing Board, Executive Leadership, and Superintendent Dr. Damon J. Wright will participate in Governance Core Book Study as well as the review and updating of the BUSD Governance Handbook.
