A Special Informational Governing Board meeting will be taking place tomorrow, August 3rd beginning at 6:00pm in the BUSD Board Room at 350 East K Street. This meeting will be in person and masks are mandatory. For those not in-person, we will continue to Livestream and record via the BUSD YouTube channel linked here: https://www.youtube.com/c/beniciaunifiedschooldistrict.
Members of the public may address the Board at a meeting on any item within the Board’s jurisdiction and speaker cards must be completed and will be available at the back table and may be submitted to the Board Secretary prior to the meeting starting. The board president will call all the “open session” public comments to the specific items then being discussed by the Board (Board Bylaw 9323) during the public comment item. The Governing Board allows speakers to speak at meetings on agendized and non-agendized matters under public comment. Comments are limited to no more than three minutes per speaker. By law, no action may be taken on any item raised during the public comment periods and matters may be referred to staff for placement on a future agenda of the Governing Board.
This special meeting will include the following informational items: Updates on New Legislation, the First Reading for BP/AR Independent Study, an update on the Health and Safety Guidance for the 2021-22 School Year and lastly a Budget Update for the 2021-22 State Adopted Budget..
