To support our Attendance Campaign in the Benicia Unified School District (BUSD), we award the BUSD school with the highest Average Daily Attendance (ADA) and Most Improved Attendance monthly. Each month the school site with the highest ADA will be able to show off the BEST Attendance Trophy. A BUSD attendance goal this year was to reduce the number of students who were Chronically Absent (missing 10% or more of the days enrolled). This month we are recognizing the school that reduced the number of students who were Chronically Absent from the 2022-2023 school compared to the 2023-2024 school year.. Below are this month’s winners:
Joe Henderson Elementary School for the BEST Attendance for the month of May Henderson’’s ADA for May was 95.90%. Henderson is a repeat winner, they also had the highest attendance in April. Nice work Hound’s!
Liberty High School had the MOST Improved Attendance for the 2023-2024 school year when compared to their attendance in the 2022-2023 school year. The percentage of students who were Chronically Absent in the 2022-2023 school was 83% of their student body, compared to 38.9% of their students for the 2023-2024 school year. That’s an improvement of 53.1%. Way to SOAR Eagles, NICE WORK!
